- 200 g All-purpose flour
- 130 g Granulated sugar
- 135 g Butter
- 0,5 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Vanilla sugar or 0,5 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp Golden syrup
- Sea salt flakes ( Optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix all ingredients except sea salt in your stand mixer using the paddle attachment.
- Blend until all ingredients are well combined, but do not over mix.
- Divide the dough into 2 equal portions. Roll each portion into a log and place them on the baking sheet.
- Flatten the logs slightly and sprinkle with a little sea salt.
- Bake for 13-16 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and cut the logs diagonally into pieces while still warm.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet.
- Allow the cookies to cool completely to room temperature before storing. Place the cookies in an air-tight container or a resealable plastic bag. This helps to prevent moisture from getting to the cookies and keeps them crispy.
